Arghhhhh....

'Cap'ain Jack Sparrow' and 'the Cracken'

We have had more than our share of Halloween fun this week. From Trunk or Treating, to an Annual Family Party to the big night O' sugar. We started today off wishing my cousin Genny and -the other cutest octopus ever- Addison a Happy Birthday! Braden got to wear his costume to preschool for a party there, poor teachers had 30 kids on a sugar rush at 9 am! This afternoon we took the boys into the office to see the girls I work with and their costumes (ok, ok, I have been on Maternity leave/ part time for like 4 or 5ish years, but I pretend I still have a role there...) and they were all so cute! 'The Reds' were Sally from Nightmare before Christmas and Mulan, the two M's were Cruella and a Dalmatian, and the office manager was Kim Possible. Russ's nurses were Sony and Cher. It was classic. Berkley even tried to awnser the phone, but what 1 yr old can really say "OB-GYN office, can you hold?" Really...

We went straight from there to my Mom's ward Block Party in Mesa where we saw a ton of friends and even more parents or siblings of friends(Plus a few more, without blogs, GASP!)! My sister Rhonda brought my cute niece Yazzie out (as a pink bunny!) and although we tried for a photo op, she is just plain scared of her cousins!

Finally after a good time there we headed to Noni and Pops neighborhood to hit a few houses. Berk walked right up to the door, but then just wanted to walk away, so he only treated there. Braden and I made the rounds there and in our neighborhood. He cracked me up. After going to less than 5 houses he said, "Can you just ring the bell and say Trick or Treat for me?,"-I laughed seeing how I already had his sword, bag and flashlight! So we didn't wander far. Well, I hope you all had as much fun as we did this week! If you haven't seen any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies (esp. 2 & 3) then you won't know the 'characters' my boys were!

I guess I am done blogging for the night, Berk has been up 4 times since I started and I can't type well one handed. Only 2 days till his ENT consult appointment-I can't wait!

It's crazy how busy Halloween gets since having kids, but boy it is sure fun. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun and scored lots of treats!! I love the costumes. Braden makes one awesome Jake Sparrow, and Berk is one cute octopus or should I say Cracken. (and yes great minds think alike :)I wish you lived here so we could get a cute pic of our little octopuses together.

Just thought I'd tell Braden and Berkley how cute they looked in their costumes. We too have way to much candy and are hoping to forget about it, which is kind of hard to do since I'm doing everything within my power to not go eat a bunch of it. Oh sugar is such a weakness of mine:)

Cute costumes! I had the same experience with Stratton - I had to carry his bag, lightsaber and after awhile he wanted me to give him a piggy back ride. Funny kids!

Ok, she's not scared of them! She's just a little touchy 'cause of her fever and being in that hot (albeit adorable) bunny costume. We'll have to try for another photo op when she's not sick, then we can know for sure! Loved the boys costumes, by the way! Especially the black nail polish and eyeliner! Rusty's favorite, I'm sure!
Love ya, Rhonda

Thanks for the birthday wish Caryn! The costumes are terribly clever and cute! Is that really Rhonda I see on the blog? Have we finally dragged her into our world?
