Personal Space...

Both of my boys have always been cuddly boys. Braden's favorite pastime still includes snuggling and watching TV. But Berkley has taken this to a whole 'nother level and I think that he has confused cuddly with clingy! I think it is time he learns what personal space is... and while I know one day I will long for the days of snuggle time, right now I just wish I could do the laundry without him ON the washing machine. Or blow dry my hair, without him IN the sink. Or use my computer without him At my feet!See Berk, Yaz is ALREADY in the stroller and there isn't room for two!
Just an average TV watching position.
Staying close while Mom tries to nap on the couch. Close close, as in ON my face...
Watching intently Braden play his DS.

Help and hinder must be another interchangeable word in Berk's vocabulary...

Yeah... good luck with that! I've seen that boy in action first hand and your going to have your hands full trying the accomplish "personal" space! Look at it this way.. at least he won't be wondering off on the ship or in Italy or in the airport etc. Your boy just can't get enough of you!!

lol that is so freaking funny Caryn!! I was dying over the pictures! Ah man. All I can say (through the laughter & tears from laughter) is enjoy it while you can. I love cuddle bugs! He is such a sweet boy. Send him on over, I'll take a turn for awhile ;)

I love the pic of him on your face! So funny. I don't think any kid understands personal space.

But look how cute he is doing it. And while you are sleeping... he is just trying to help. But yes... that personal space has limits berk. Still as adorable as ever.

I think it looks adorable in pictures. Abby has always been like that. Love the sitting on the face one!

I love the clinginess! He is the best little cuddler there is! It's the funniest when you try to put him down and he holds onto you for dear life, while keeping his legs up so that his feet won't get anywhere near the ground! The pictures are so funny!

Oh my gosh, do I need you for moral support or what? I am not kidding you... my daughter is exactly like this and she is almost 5! I am at my wits end with it. She is CONSTANTLY up my you know what... kissing me every 5 seconds wherever she can kiss me, ramming into my gut with her head in a hug that almost knocks me out, sheesh. All I hear all day long is "smooch, smooch, smooch" and I get so angry... and annoyed and I just think to myself I SHOULD be enjoying this but I'm really not, AT ALL! The kisses are slobbery, the sound of them are LOUD and argh... what do we do? LOL! Sorry, venting... totally feel your pain. Now I will do what I should do as a well spoken mom and say to you "enjoy it while you can"...

Caryn, that is all too funny. What a little lover!

Did you decide what to do about the stroller and stuff? When exactly do you leave?

How funny! You gotta love being loved so much, though, right? A couple of weeks ago, I had just finished leading the closing song in R.S. and the back door flung open. Here came my 3-year-old, running down the center aisle at full speed, and leapt into my arms. I hurriedly sat down on the nearest chair for the closing prayer. I was embarrassed at the grand entrance, but after the prayer a single gal came up to me and said, "That has got to be the best feeling in the whole world! To be loved so much and know they want you more than anything!" It was an eye-opener for me and helped me be grateful for my dear children! :)

That is so funny, Peyton is really starting to do this to. Is there anything you wish you had done before it got totally out of control?

Oh that Berkley! What a lover! Gotta love that babies have no concept of boundaries! Yazee's a snugglebug, but she's tiny so it doesn't hurt. Love the pic with him on your face. HE-LAR-I-OUS!

It is nice to feel loved but I know what you mean. I have a little shadow around here to. He listens to every phone conversation I have and will repeat it. It has been a great reminder to what what words come out of my mouth. Soon enough they grow up and it sad you'll miss those days.

I agree about the personal space sometimes. Even when I LOCK the door so I can shower or go to the bathroom, my kids can unlock the door and come in on me! AAGH! But we just moved and the doors in the new house are NOT so easy to open. Thank goodness. Maybe I will finally get some Personal space time.
