Lake Powell Trip...

*** New photos added to the slide show!!! Including the boys on the wakeboard!***
We just got back from 5 fun days at the Beck's houseboat on Lake Powell. Although it was a shorter trip than usual we packed just as much fun into our time there. We even got to see the other Beck's (Rusty's uncle Ron's family was there too) as well as running into a couple other old friends. For such a big lake, we were pretty lucky to see anyone we knew! I don't have all the photos from every one's camera's yet, so the slide show will be updated again tomorrow, so check back. Braden loves tubing and is getting braver and braver. He thinks standing while tubing is fun. Next summer he will be ready for wake boarding. He and Rusty wake boarded together again this year and he loved every minute of it. Poor Berkley was running a fever of 103 for nearly two days, on and off, so he is much happier to be home and in his own bed! Big HUGE HUGE thank-you's to Kelcie and cousin Meredith for being my saving grace on the car ride home and on the boat. We learned a few new card games, 'Ten' as well as 'Hand & Foot' and brushed up our skills on Rummy, BS, Hearts, and our favorite Nertz. Jill and I have decided we really need to play cards more than once a year, because we have so much fun. Oh, and I even helped catch a fish-with a net, not a pole- at night! Me! I know! So Bill did most of the work but I held the flashlight to blind the fish so he wouldn't know he was swimming right for a net! Berk and his little cousin Jaci were full of tricks to keep us on our toes. From making the back deck their hang out zone, to showing they are smarter than we think at opening the latched gates to the water below. I was quite proud of my Magiver move of using a straw to keep it closed! Hah hah little ones! I wish we had been there longer but I am glad to be back in A/C again. We hope to make atleast one more weekend trip this fall. I am glad to be back and trying to get all ready for the big trip next month!

Too much fun!!! I wanna go!! Sorry it wasn't as relaxing as you would have liked. Berkers needs to be trained on how to behave in the BEATIFUL lake powell.

I know how you feel about trying to get ready for big trips. I have been having anxiety attacks about my lack of time to pack/shop! We leave a week from Sat. Sounds like you had another great Lake Powell trip! We are having a girls day boutique on Sat if you want to come! It's at Cara's new house. Look on my blog for info. BTW, let's play nertz sometime! That's my FAVORITE card game & I get super competitive. It'd be quite a site to see us going at it playing cards! Glad you're back :)

Yay for another fun week at Lake Powell.

Regarding your cruise...deep breath, make a check list or whatever will help double and triple check things you need and relax. I know you and I'm sure you have crossed every "t" and dotted every "i." Don't psych yourself out to much! I AM so excited to see pictures and hear about it!

I don't feel too bad for you because I am too jealous that you got to go to Powell! Oh I love that place.

I miss the Tireless and Cindy's cooking. Will we ever meet in Lake Powell again?

Honestly Addi! We crossed paths this year! The Rhoners said they saw you all and since we saw them, that kinda counts, right?

Next year, you and I will have to plan the trips in sync! Amen for Cindi cooking, I wouldn't go to Powell with out her as a cook!!!

I'm totally with you on the swim towels...I don't wash them much because yes, they just get wet again!

What a fun trip! Great job w/the fishing! I have a hard enough time using a pole and bait! Sorry Berkley got sick! Doesn't it ALWAYS seem to happen on trips though? Knowing you, I am sure you were well prepared!
