Catching Up...

So I am trying not to think to much about my trip and just enjoy the summer. New plan. Stress less... I have been told time and time again that if I worry too much before the trip I won't enjoy it, and I would hate that! I appreciate all the tips and I plan to use them all! Anyway, I had to share a few photos from the end of the school year and soccer season.
Getting his soccer trophy. He ended up becoming quite a little soccer player. He even shot the ball a couple times and came so close to making a goal. He stopped nearly every goal that came his way when he played goalie.
We had a fun time with all the families from the team.
They were such a fun group.
We played at the park, did awards, had a little dinner. A great time.
The whole team, we are really excited that nearly half the team has already signed up for next season-with Coach Rusty!
The last day of preschool with buddies Lincoln & Ryan.
More buddies, Rylee Schild and Payton Van. He wants me to call them everyday!
(How fun is it that my kid got to go to school with the niece and nephew of two of my HS friends?)
And with his AmAzInG teacher Miss Christine. I honestly can not imagine Braden making it through 3 years of preschool with any other teacher. This woman is the most patient, more caring woman ever. She has more patience with kids then I have ever met. Maybe that's why I drove over 15 miles each day to get him there, and why after teaching for so many years, she now has a second generation of students! She even taught Rusty's sister and brother. Braden has learned to read, do math, and realize what an amazing soul he is. Shoot, he even learned to ride a bike without training wheels there. It is a Montessori program and he does so well helping the younger kids learn. I really have no idea what I am going to do when he goes to a new school for Kindergarten in the Fall! Luckily I have a few more weeks before we have to say good bye for good--or until Berkley starts...

Caryn! As soon as I read that you call his teacher "Miss Christine" I thought, "Ooh! Does he go to a Montessori school?" I am a complete and total Montessori fan, and have been ever since I studied it in college. All of my piano students who go to Montessori are the most intelligent, well-adjusted, polite and talented kids. There is an incredible Montessori school in downtown Phoenix called Villa Montessori-the oldest in the Valley, and believe it or not, it is FREE TUITION for K through 8. Two of my students attend there and I am seriously considering putting Rylie in it when she's a little older. LOVE IT. It is such a amazing way to educate and learn!

Caryn I am so glad you are stressing less! Your trip will be fabulous and you sound super prepared. I love the catch up. We just our baseball party and end of the year school parties too! BTW we want to sign up for soccer with coach Rusty. Does his team go to age 6?

Good for you, take a chill pill and just relax. The trip will be a blast and honestly no matter how prepared you think you are, your not! LOL! You will always either go with too much or not enough so why bother worrying about it? Just enjoy it, I am super jealous. We have been thinking of doing the Cruise to Egypt before we leave... wonder if it will ever happen!! Seriously have fun! Are you actually stopping in Cyprus? If you are, I know some amazing resteraunts you have to go to!

You seem to capture a lot of great moments. I need to be better about carrying my camera around. Aren't Montessori methods great? I hope you have a fabulous trip!

I guess I'm out of the loop - what is Montessori? I'm sure we don't have it out here, so maybe that's why I haven't heard of it. But I'm curious now - what is it? Those are cute pictures, by the way. You have such cute boys.

Caryn - don't faint! This Nana finally has time to read your web page and blog. As usual, I was very entertained. To those who believe you aren't stressing as much about the cruise - can I say ha ha? Liked the suggestion you got that you should have had a nanny for the trip. Good idea! Keep it up, girl - can't wait to see your entries when you finally go on that cruise oh, yeah - and on your high school reunion.

Ah, I wish I could send Max to preschool. I met a girl at the park the other day who was paying $14,000 (yes, more than my entire four years of college tuition) for two days a week, three hours a day preschool. The joy of the big city.

As I play catch up, posts will appear in chronological order so, scroll down because there is sure to be a new post below...
