Braden Beck, DDS???

Braden has had quite a week. My boys LoVe lOvE LOVE the outdoors. Even when it is freezing, raining, foggy or a combo of the three. Berk pounds on the doors and windows grunting 'ugh ugh ugh' until you let him out. While Braden will tell you it has been 'a week and a half' or 'an hour and a half' since he has gotten to ride his bike! Gasp! Oh no! We have had quite a bit of rain and the boys being indoor bound has nearly killed them (and me). Thankfully, we have had some better weather as the week progressed and he has gotten to ride his bike a ton. He is very proud that his big bikewithouttrainingwheels (as he says) has a new kick stand. He is in LOVE with that dang kick stand. Oh, the simple pleasures in life, it kinda makes me wonder why we have been going all over town looking for the perfect Christmas gift. (Ok, really I haven't set foot in a mall, thank heaven for amazon.com) But the biggest accomplishment this week was that Braden went to go see Dr Tyler for his teeth cleaning and he had NO SUGAR BUGS! This is the first time since we began our uber-fun dental journey with him he has gone 6 months without any cavities! As we were finishing the exam, he whispered in my ear, "I want to be a dentist like Dr. Tyler-tell him" so I did. And Dr. Tyler told Braden he could come work with him, so since I have horrible teeth, this is all sounding like a good plan. Oh, and Braden also told the Dr that his Daddy didn't have any sugar bugs either, but his Mommy had 5. Gee, thanks for that kid- even if it is the truth, it still kinda hurts...(Dang genetics!) So the whole family is set for 6 more months when we will again head to the dentist for our cleanings, even Berk gets to go next time. So BAMJ San Fran, we will expect a letter of recommendation to UoP in about 14 years or so, okay?
Oh, and in case you didn't believe me about the weird fog, here is proof!

How cute! Your boys are darling. I didn't get to see the fog (too busy watching the inside of my eyelids) so thanks for the pictures!

It was totally foggy the other day. It was kind of scary when I had to drive my kids to school.

The fog was crazy, but I love that it's something other than sunny and hotter than....

I forget that not everybody is not immersed in the deathly cold of Duchesne. Our fog last night left frosty white trees for us today! All Jackson really needs for Christmas is a box of tissues that he can empty out one by one. He'll probably play with that more than his toys. :)

Fun post Caryn. I'm so glad Braden's teeth were Sugarbug free. That is what my kids call them too.

Oh that horrible fog! I had my last nursing final that day and I got up at 5:00 am to drive to school in that crap. I was so mad, I couldn't drive over 20 mph and that makes a morning commute soooo much longer. Also, no one could see any street signs so everyone was so lost. I was following whoever was in front of me because I figured they were going to the freeway too, but we kept turning into neighborhoods and getting lost only to come out on the same street we went in! It was awful.

Congrats on a good dental bill of health. I wish I could say the same! Cade goes in for his fillings on Thursday...wish me luck. At least Dr. Tyler is awesome, that is comforting!

I HATE HATE HATE the dentist. My hubby can do a never have anything. Rachel on the other had will rack up a freakin 2000 dollar bill with out thinking. UGGHHH a dentist would be great in the fam.

Great fog pics, I took some like that about 4wks ago! I love it! Congrats to B-den on no sugarbugs. I am hoping the floride that has been added to our drinking water will give Draven a fighting chance. I think you know that both older boys have already had one or three (yes I meant three)root canals.
See earlier "dang genetics" comment :)

I think Braden being a dentist is a fantastic idea! We can't wait to see you guys! Just a few more days and maybe we'll get to see Rusty even sooner!

Caryn, don't tell Blake, but the real reason I married him is so I could get free dental work. I blame all my problems on genetics, too. Well, that and the fact that I HATE flossing. In addition to the letter of recommendation, Braden can even count on free room and board. Yea for Pacific Class of 2027!

Your kids have the best smiles I have ever seen! I wouldn't say that if I didn't mean it.

Dave would be so proud... no sugar bugs!! Good to know you are practicing good dental health by seeing your local dentist ( he he how was that for a plug for my hubby's field?) Your boys are just too cute. Fun fog... I am sure it is nice to have some type of weather change though :)

I really need to take Brooklyn to the dentist some time. I actually could use a good cleaning too. Maybe I will try to go some time this coming year.
