Bunco gifts- bought, Ornament exchange -taken care of, new '08 frame ornaments- ready to go, I even have a new playlist of Holiday hits on my I-Pod! Really I am all ready. Everything new that I need is all in one spot all ready for this Christmas. Only problem, it's in there.
Way back there- behind the two bins of Fall stuff, under the new wreathe Verlinda made me, to the left of the ornament bins (all 6) and just right of my bookshelf o'crap. Every year when I put all 12 or so bins of Christmas stuff away I totally organize the only area of storage I seem to have in this house- the closet in my office. You can walk in there, do a little twirl even. I swear there is room. But about this time of year- right when I NEED it to be organized, my hustle and bustle of the year catches up with me.
Now my next door neighbor has his lights up already- and since they are so bright I can't sleep--I wanna get a jump on getting the tree out before all our family comes home next week.
But for as much Martha Stewart craftiness that I have --I also have a touch of Monica Geller- a little OCD with a closet full of crap. Do you remember that episode? One of my favorite Friends ones ever.
So wish me luck. I have our annual family Ornament Exchange on Sunday and I have to get at that bin before then...

thanks for the link to the episode! I stopped watching Friends (gasp,I know) about three years before it ended. I couldn't take the constant ribbing from Russ about how bad the characters were:(. Anyway good luck with the closet. Mine are fairly clean since that was the target of my nesting time before Audrey got here!
I love that episode! You are brave to actually show yours. So non-Monica. I was thinking how organized you are the other day. Everyone is allowed a crap drawer, a crap closet. Then there's me...I have a crap room.
LOVE Friends. Of course, I have the entire series on DVD. I absolutely love that episode. I go back and watch that one and a couple of others pretty regularly. It totally made me laugh when you made that comment. Good luck to you. My storage room is pretty sketchy looking, too. :D

Love it! My car is my Monica's closet. Sad since I practically live in my car :(
I know you will get it all ready before Sunday, you are amazing at that:) Don't ask for any pictures of mine, we have zero storage space around here:)
And I love that you posted you horrible day story. It let's us all know that we aren't the only ones that have wildly insane days:) I love your advice, got back to bed and eat chocolate...awesome!
That's exactly the reason I still have Halloween decorations out: the totes are too inaccessible... I hope to have the courage and fortitude to put them away and get out my Christmas decorations after our trip to AZ, but who knows. It gets pretty scary! ;)
Did you put together a lunch or something for over Thanksgiving week? i can't remember which holiday? Good luck getting that closet organized. Those are the hardest projects of all!
I am so happy to see you are normal... I was beginning to think you were too perfect to be my friend. Question- is it a problem if EVERY closet and GARAGE, and LAUNDRY room looks like that- help- it's overtaking my sanity! Good lUck with your project (doesn't seem so big now eh?) we on for sat.?

If it makes you feel anybetter, I still have the totes out that have all of our China trip stuff that we collected. At least it isn't in the suitcase anymore...
