Just Doing My Part...

I am making a big effort to do the right thing for Mother Earth and recycle way more than I had before. I always make sure the newspaper goes in the recycle, pop cans, milk cartons (washed out of course). I have even read a few friends blogs about a new 'green' diaper option. I want to make this planet a better place for my kids, ya know?

Glass is recyclable, Right?

See, even Berkley is doing his part to save the world, one expensive decoration at a time. Wasn't that so nice of him? And yes, that was one of a set of Hurricane vase we got in December...

So I get the REDUCE and RECYCLE part of the triangle, but I don't think we will be 'REUSE'ing that container, unless it's new use is as a finger slicer, because it is a pro at that.

Aw I loved that decoration too! But at least he admitted it by saying "Uh oh! I did it! I did it!" You're not going to have to worry about that one lying

It says so much about you that even at the tender age that Berk is, your already teaching the principal of recycling! Dang..I liked that set. If you don't want a miss match pair laying around, feel free to send the unwanted intacted decor our way!

Oh no! Those are soooo expensive! You know where you should get a replacement? Have you ever been to Tai-Pan Trading in Sandy? Holy cow I love that place! Awesome stuff. It's like Razzmatazz or Kirkland's but much BIGGER and better priced.

My friend decorates for fall on Sept 1. So, I do't think it's too early at all! I think I'm going to aim for the middle of September this year. i usually start the end, but I think I'm going to be a little crazy this year!

We don't have the facilities much here in Duchesne for a lot of recycling but we are starting to look into such things as reusable shopping bags.

YOWZA! SO sorry about your decor. You are a good mommy that you didnt get upset and had your wits about you to teach a good lesson from it. Maybe they make hurricane lamps in shatter proof/bullet proof glass? :)

Sorry about the glass thing. I got way into recycling about 4 months ago. Glass is the least productive thing to recycle unless it is bottles that can be reused. Aluminum is # 1. But I like to recycle everything! Because trash is ugly. Nice blog!

Sorry about your hurricane vase, that's a total bummer. I am so sad we weren't able to see each other while you were in Utah. Next time for sure we need to find time to get together. Congrats on the blog award. You totally deserve it, you are the best blogger around. I always love reading your posts.

Yeah, for some reason that re-use thing doesn't really sink into toddler heads! I am always extra faithful right after earth day! Good thing it rolls around every year.

Hi Caryn!
These blog things are amazing how you can be looking at someone's blog and then link over to someone else's blog and so on. I haven't seen you since I spoke in Rusty and your ward right after I got home from my mission, and the two of you hadn't been married for a very long time from what I remember. I am jealous that you got to go to Dubrovnik. The rest of the trip sounds awesome too, but being that that was old mission country it kind of has a sweet spot for me. We actually didn't have missionaries that far south in Croatia so I never got to go there, but everyone over there always said it was a beautiful city. If you want me to invite you to my blog (it's my wife's creation really, but I live through it too) send me your email address. My email address is timshill@cox.net. See ya later! -Tim
