Finally, some winter weather!

OK, so it is just rain, but after weeks and weeks of wishing it would cool off, I was so happy that it was pouring rain when I got up this morning! I opened the windows and doors and my A/C actually didn't turn on all day! we are even supposed to get more rain tomorrow! Rain is the best of both worlds for my boys who love being outside and taking a bath-so when you put the two together, it is irresistible. Berk was driving me crazy until I finally let them go on the front porch to get wet. Good thing they both already have a horrible cough so I don't feel too bad that they are gonna get sick. And even with the rainy day it was still in the 70's so it felt really nice! We think it might snow at our cabin, so we may jet up there for a day, who knows! I love just taking it easy on gray days like today. Oh and a big step for me and the boys, we got our passport applications turned in! Yeah! One more thing to check off my never ending list of things to do before our trip this summer. I am trying to find cute luggage for the boys, any suggestions? Hope it is finally starting to feel like Winter for everyone else now!

Where are you going this summer? I hope your boys' passport pics turned out better than my boys'! They both looked ticked off but they were really just afraid to smile because they felt shy. For luggage, I love Pottery Barn. Their luggage is very cute and you can put your boys' first name or monogrammed initials on it. I think it is on sale right now with free shipping to boot. Check it out!

Caryn,
I got your christmas card a couple of days ago. Yours was the first one I got. Your making me look bad! You are on top of it.

Not to rub it in, but we got snow today in Utah. I've been praying for it forever because we are spending Christmas in Texas with Spence's family and they will not have snow there. I can't handle brown Christmases so I need tons of snow before I go. I wish I could send some your way, unless you are satisfied with rain.

I love that we can wear some fun, cozy warm clothes! I'm sooo sick of wearing tank tops and crap like that! It's December for goodness sakes! Anywho, should I be getting Yazee some fashionable luggage?! Probably not, I not that cool! Well, I AM that cool, just not that motivated! heehee

Yay for rain. That is one thing I know I will miss about Texas... a little change in seasons. How fun about your trip. I can't wait to hear details. bTW check out PBK for sure... I love their stuff. Then you can get something you know will last for a long time too.

Wasn't the rain WONDERFUL! Finally, some decent weather! I had no idea it rained on Saturday too...I was playing for a baptism and the piano was next to a window and I kept thinking how silly it was that the church was running their sprinklers the day after a huge rainstorm. Lo and behold I walk out to my car after the baptism and it's all wet! OK, must get back to decorating!

I have to agree with Pottery Barn for luggage for your boys. We did get lots of snow in Utah on Saturday. With the snow it now is starting to feel like the holidays, Sorry I'm not trying to rub it in.

I love that you call that "winter weather!" And I want to hear more about this cruise. Can't wait for the details.

Caryn,
I'm so jealous. We never get snow either, of course, but I was thinking we'd have had some good rainstorms by now. NOPE. I think it has rained once, and that was while I was asleep during the night, so that doesn't count. It is December, right?
Can't wait for details about your trip. How exciting! (And I don't even know anything about it except you got your passport applications turned in! That in and of itself signifies excitement!)

Caryn, I'll have to post some pictures of "real" winter weather. It has been real dry for us too but we did get our first big snow storm last week. Saturday, Briaunna went outside first thing in her night gown and clogs. Then she wondered why her toes hurt all day. But, the kids do love snow.

As I play catch up, posts will appear in chronological order so, scroll down because there is sure to be a new post below...
