I organized Braden's playroom the other day and realized I needed another bin for his toy cars. Once I got going B helped me separate them into 'real cars' (the ones from the movie) and the 'other cars' and I realized he had gotten quite a collection. We started collecting them shortly after the movie came out as rewards (bribes really) for potty training. Now he uses his 'Braden Bucks' to earn them. They have gotten harder and harder to find, and I began scouring the Internet, Targets and Walmarts. We have all of the McDonald's ones, the Shake n Go's and nearly all of the other editions that are out there. The few we don't have (yet) B thoughtfully cuts pictures out to remind me which ones we are missing. Is it just me or do your kids collect a certain toy? We seem to go in phases, Buzz & Woody, motorbikes & quads, tools but for now I think we are in the long haul with Cars.
So thank you Disney Pixar for all the hours of enjoyment they have given Braden, and for the hours I have wasted on ebay, Amazon and in stores hunting for your product... Oh, and for making the newest edition released about thirty bucks a car, needless to say B won't be earning those...These ones are my favorites.

That's too funny. For a while Mitch was "collecting" any type of vehicle, as long as it was significant to a certain place where Brent and I had been on vacation. For example, when we went to New York, we got him a cab and NYPD car, when we went to England we got him a triple decker bus, and when we went to Italy we tried to get him a Ferrari or something, but only could find a Ferrari semi-truck thingy (suddenly the proper name has left me). They're not quite recognizable today 'cause his favorite way of playing with them was using them as a hockey puck. Makes Brent and me think we should've just stayed home to find him presents. :) Anyway, hey, I need some more insight. I found the passage about Lily's Patronus being a doe, but I'm still confused about something. Let me know what you think. I left a comment on the other blog.
lol I would love the Buzz & Woody ones! I've never seen those. We have quite a few of these cars as well, including Mike & Sulley which are my favorites. My kids always have a thing for motorcycles and quads. And big trucks pulling trailers with quads or motorcycles ("toy haulers" as my boys say). Do you have the Mack truck? I think Santa will bring that to Cade this year so he will stop picking it up every time we go into Target!!
I think Mack is coming to live at our house for is birthday, but there are like 5 versions, so I'll have to see what one I can find!
Too funny. Ethan is into Cars too, but he's content on the pajamas, movie and shirts! The toys are definitely more entertaining!
Hey Caryn, it's Lynsey (Woolf) Evans. I read your post about collecting these cars and laugh that you say they go through phases. Carson is at the "Buzz & Woody" stage and is obsessed. It's always funny to see what they will be interested in next!
im pretty sure youre getting up there with too many! :)
I love all those cars. We just have Lightening, Doc, Sally and Mater. That is quite the collection. I love the arrangement for the picture. Do you put pictures on your buckets and bins so he knows where to put them away?
You are such a cool mom. I should probably do something like that with my boys. Ok so I finished Harry Potter a couple of Days age. It is so good. I LOved it. You will have to call, we can talk about it.
Kendee, I will post a picture of my playroom so you can see!
haha we found the Buzz & Woody cars today! We went into a toy store because Stratton earned a toy and I got these cars for Cade. I'm such a nice mom, I get my kid the toys that I like! Hey, but does your Buzz cover come off? I'm thinking of super gluing it on so we don't lose it.
Yeah Ami, it does come off, I thought we broke it, so I did superglue it! Glad you found them!
