My Birthday, Number 33...

I was a little nervous about this birthday since it would be the first since I was told to go Gluten Free (I know I still need to catch up about why, working on it).  It was a mid week, school day birthday so I had low expectations.  What a silly girl I am, because of course Rusty and the boys made me feel like a million bucks.  Rusty surprised me by coming home early with GF red velvet cupcakes from Sprinkles AND a dozen GF cookies from a bakery by his work.  And lunch.  He is the best.
The boys got me a Dogeared necklace called 'Mother's Wisdom'- the saying it came with said, "If at first you don't succeed, do it the way Mom does," I also got a new screen protector for my phone, which made me super excited, it's the little things, I know.  That night Rusty and I went to dinner at the Keg, where I got the yummiest chicken and amazing creme brûlée for dessert.
I had to wait a few days for the present from Rusty to come, we figured after 10 years it was about time to get a new bedding set for our room.  (Which has led to us wanting to paint and re-do a few other things in there, yeah!). I love it.  It's so soft and feels so light and airy in the room...But it turned out perfect because we had the families and a few friends over Friday night to have my favorite gelato from Frost-- Sea Salt Carmel.  The best part was having so much left that we enjoyed it for the next couple of weeks too!

What a wonderful birthday. LOVE the bedroom set.
Boy, this gluten free stuff is a kicker. Sounds like you have lots of options though.
