Rusty's 1st Ragnar...

Rusty just completed his first Ragnar event this past weekend. It is a relay race, about 200 miles long, with 2 vans and twelve runners per team. Each runner has three legs of varying length. They run through the night and into the morning. It's basically a 24 hour race. Hundreds of teams did it. I am sorta shocked by just how many (crazies) people I knew who did it. Here is some photos of that race!

Getting ready for the first of 3 legs
Ran (hahaha no pun intended) into some good friends Ami B and Bryce W along the way
 Van 2 of the Yoggers
Van 1 Yoggers at the camper where they tried to sleep for about 3 hours.
Crossing the finish line
 So Proud!
Russ and Cindi came to watch the end- Russ ran in Ragnar last year. Father/Son team next year??
Kori & Rhonda, the two brave ladies with the 10 men on Yoggers
Waiting for the last runner to come so they could all cross together (Rhonda, Tyler, Benji, Kori and Dana)

Rusty's 'temporary' tattoo has lasted for more than a week. And I laugh at how many people wonder if it is real, he's not that hardcore.

And yes, he had so much fun he has already said he will do it next year. Crazy.

*FYI, the team name came from a quote in the movie Anchorman (which I haven't yet seen)... It goes:
"I believe it's jogging or yogging... it might be a soft 'j'. I'm not sure but apparently you run for an extended period of time.
It's supposed to be wild."

Wow - I'm so impressed by people who do such things as I curl up on my couch with a good book . . .

I am with you "crazies". Really though, I just wish I was a runner, but I am not!

If you could see me, Rusty, I'm bowing to you on my knees. (In the, I'm not worthy, kinda way.) You the man! Maybe Mubeen will be crazy enough to do it with you next year. (Notice I didn't say "me"?)

As I play catch up, posts will appear in chronological order so, scroll down because there is sure to be a new post below...
