Summer Time Blues

We aren't even a week into Summer and Braden is already bored! So I remembered this idea I heard from a friend of a friend, and decided to try it this summer to see if we can keep him from dying of boredom. Hopefully, I will remember to post pictures of our adventures on here! Here goes...

Monday- "Make Something day"- baking, crafts ect...

Tuesday- "Towel day"- Sprinklers, swimming at the gym, Tempe Beach Park ect.. (we swim twice a day already in our backyard, so this is extra)

Wednesday- "Work Day"- chore day...enough said.

Thursday- "Tutor Day"- work on his writing, letters and numbers and other school-ish things...

Friday- "Field Trip Day"- the Zoo, Museums, the Library, Riparian Preserve and other fun places...

Hopefully this will help me remember he is a kid with a short attention span who likes to do different things, and it will be a great way to have play dates... SO, if you want to tag along, let me know!

What's the Riparian Preserve? Sorry I haven't called you back yet, things have been a little crazy around here. We can hang out pretty much any day next week except Tuesday morning (gymnastics). The week after gets a little tricky with swim lessons starting up but I think we're free on Mondays and Tuesdays. Let me know, my boys LOVE to swim and it'd be fun to just hang out and chat! These days sound really cute for the summer, good idea!

Riparian Preserve is on Guadalupe and Greenfield, it has trails and lakes and duck to feed, lots for little boys to do. Check it out at http://www.riparianinstitute.org/ Hey, can you get my Elisha's # I have a friend out there who wants to do lessons... Seriously, we are always in the pool so call me and we can play!

That is a great idea to do each week! I will definately have to remember that as my little one gets older. Plus it helps to hear what there is to do out there from eachother. Question: recommendations for swim lessons? I want to sign Camden up. Let me know! TTYS

Oh sorry Caryn, I meant to get you her phone number. Can I blame it on nursing school even though it's summer? Anyways...her number is 480-986-8894. I'm not sure if she still has openings but they can call and see. That Riperian place sounds cool!

Wow Caryn, this is such a fun idea. I love it and it is so great to have a plan so you don't get bored and waste the summer away. Can't wait to hear about your days!

Caryn so fun! We are kind of doing something similar and so far it has worked like a charm. Our weeks have themes so it is easy to execute the plan! I emailed them to Ami and would be happy to share with you too. It has book ideas, craft ideas, activities and outings you can adapt to AZ. I am always up for new and good ideas to keep the monkey's tamed ;) Keep the good ones coming...

As I play catch up, posts will appear in chronological order so, scroll down because there is sure to be a new post below...
